Trellis Management |

Trellis provides a daily review of critical problems. All managed servers and workstations are remotely managed to provide a safe and efficient environment. Reboots are coordinated with client. Non critical alterations are done after consultation with client. No hardware or software upgrades are included. |
Anti-virus Update Check |

This checks that your anti-virus pattern file is in sync with the vendor's latest published version. We receive a feed of this information on every vendor update. This check compares what's operating on the server against what the vendor says is the current version. If a discrepancy exists, you'll be alerted. Trellis will run AV software if it is not automatically updating or recommend solution to client if upgrade is required. |
Backup Check |

The Backup Check queries your client’s backup on the days specified to determine the status of the backup, ensuring that in the event of any problems on your server there is a backup to restore from. Depending upon the product the backup information is derived either from the Windows Event Log or from the product's native log files. Trellis will review failed backup jobs and fix or recommend changes to the client. |
Disk Space Check |

Alerts you when the data on the disk has grown by more than X% in the past 24 hours. If there is a critical situation Trellis will assist client with managing disk space. |
Exchange Store Size |

One of the most common problems with Microsoft Exchange Server is the Information Store growing too large to be easily administered on the partition. Keeping an eye on the Exchange Information Store is vital to the service running well and ensures you’ve space to work on it if required. If there is a critical situation, Trellis will assist client with managing Exchange server. |
Hacker Check |

This check watches for denied login attempts and alerts you if they exceed a specific threshold. If attacks are evident, Trellis will advise client on appropriate actions that should be taken. |
Physical Disk Health Check |

This check determines if any SMART (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) disks are reporting errors to the operating system and alerts you. Note that this check works only with disks that use SMART capabilities. If there is a critical situation Trellis will assist client with managing data and/or replacing drive. |
PING Check |

The PING Check provides an easy and effective way of testing network device connectivity as it checks every fifteen minutes - depending on the frequency you chose - and will alert you when the device fails to respond. This ensures that devices (internal or external) are responding to PING requests. See optional checks for external PING checks. |
TCP Service Check |

The TCP Service Check alerts you to security risks and malfunctioning TCP/IP Services/applications, so you can spot developing problems on the network, and fix them before they become big disasters. The TCP Check monitors a specified port on an IP address or hostname on the LAN, WAN or internet every five or fifteen minutes, and alerts you if it is either open or closed. If attacks are evident, Trellis will advise client on appropriate actions that should be taken. |
Windows Service Check |

Windows systems are underpinned by Windows Services - these services provide crucial functions to users, machines and applications network-wide.
The Windows Services Check monitors Windows Services every five or fifteen minutes - depending on the frequency you chose - and alerts if a service has stopped. Can restart services if desired. Trellis will either fix the error remotely or advise client on appropriate actions that should be taken. |
Website Check |

This checks every 5 or 15 minutes to ensure that the targeted page is serving up text that you would expect to see. For example, you can do a continuous website check to ensure that the specified text exists. If it's not there, you are alerted that something's amiss with the site. Trellis will either fix the error remotely or advise client on appropriate actions that should be taken. |
Critical Events Check |

This check scans any of the event logs on your client server looking for any critical events during the past 24-hours. This is a good catch-all that may show growing problems on a server and highlight the need for you to investigate. Trellis will where possible fix the error remotely or if inappropriate to fix, advise client on appropriate actions that should be taken. |
File Size Check |

When files and folders grow unbounded in size, this can often be an early indicator of a problem on a system, for example a Microsoft SQL Server log file can easily grow to fill the entire disk. Similarly, if a file or folder is below an expected size then this can also indicate a problem, for example if an application has not written to its log file because it failed to run. The File Size Check allows you to monitor the size of a group of files, folders (and subfolders) generating an alert when the size of the group is greater or less than the specified threshold. The File Size Check is available as a 24x7 Check for critical files and folders, and as a Daily Safety Check, for non-essential files and folders. If there is a critical situation Trellis will assist client with managing disk space. |
Event Log Check |

The Event Logs are repositories of information that have detailed data on the status of the system written to them by applications and Windows components.
The Event Log Check monitors the Event Logs and can be configured to query a specific Event Log based on the following indicators Event ID, Event Type, Event Source and Description. Alerting where the specified information is, or is not, discovered in an Event Log entry. The Check is available as both a 24x7 and Daily Safety Check as there may be Events you wish to be alerted to as soon as they occur, for example those recorded as critical events or license failures, as well as those that only happen once a day, for example where a backup job has completed or an AntiVirus program updated. Trellis will where possible fix the error remotely or if inappropriate to fix, advise client on appropriate actions that should be taken. |
Bandwidth Monitoring check |

Understanding network bandwidth usage is a key factor in optimising network design for maximum efficiency and planning for its development. Therefore, we have developed Bandwidth Monitoring, which can be used to monitor any physical network interface (Ethernet, Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet) or virtual network interface on any SNMP managed device (switch, router, printer or even a server with appropriate SNMP software installed). If there is a critical situation Trellis will assist client with managing server and recommend changes to hardware as required. |
Server Performance checks |

Whenever a system resource, such as a processor core, disk or network interface is occupied by a request, it is unavailable for processing other requests. Pending requests must therefore wait for the resource to become available before they can be run. Where a resource is too busy to keep up with all of its requests it can become a bottleneck to the system with the higher the percentage time each resource is occupied resulting in an increased delay on subsequent requests. Such a resource would be thought of as critical to the performance of the system.
Server Performance Monitoring consists of five checks:
Processor Utilisation
Processor Queue Length
Memory Usage
Network Interface
Physical Disk
The DashBoard displays the average and maximum values of the performance counter over the last Agent cycle and where the average exceeds the specified threshold, configurable in the Agent, an Alert is generated. If there is a critical situation Trellis will assist client with managing server and recommend changes to hardware as required. |
Dashboard |

After installing the Agent we realise that you may not want to log on to the server every time there is a change to be made to the configuration of a check. |
Email and/or text message alerting |

Alerts are configurable to allow for either email or text messages to be sent to one or more addresses. |
Asset tracking |

Assets are the most critical element of any business, and with the addition of Asset Tracking you can enhance your already first class monitoring service even further as Asset Tracking provides the opportunity to create an inventory of your client's assets.
Asset Tracking can be used to query all of the Windows based devices attached to the network to discover the installed hardware and software.
Once collated this detailed information is displayed on the DashBoard in an easily navigational form cutting the time and hassle spent looking up configuration information.
Reports can be generated based on the Asset Tracking information. |
